Speedy Fox and Friends goes METAL

Hey Peeps!  It's time again for another challenge over at Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Company Challenge Blog!!!!  This week... it's all about METAL... man but I wanna crank me some Metallica right now!  hahahaha, sorry child of the 80's and hair bands are a LOVE of mine.... ANYWAY.... This week I had a bit of a stumbling moment until I said, "A-HA!" after digging through my stash of stuffs.  I found these metal Christmas Ornaments a fellow stamper had mailed to me a couple years ago, oh admit it, you too have "stuffs" from LONG ago... ;) lol  I saw these and the stumbling blocks fell away.  I KNEW I would use Hey Cowboy or Cowgirls Rule.  Yep!  I chose Cowgirls Rule and paired it with some DP from Bazzill!  I used MFP CS in Pistachio and then wrapped a bit of ribbon around my card at an angle.  I stamped the sentiment in A Muse Bubblegum ink and popped it up with foam dots. My boot needed a bit of girly touches so I added bling and another "stuffs" old school rose and it's the PERFECT Cowgirl Boot!  Cowgirls LOVE their bling don'tcha know! ;)

That's it for me this week, now head on over and play along!  Would LOVE to see how Metal is a part of your card making!

YNS Challenge 4 ~Sketch Time

Hello my Peeps!  It's time for another Your Next Stamp Challenge and this week it's Hostessed by Wendy!  That girl ROCKS!... This sketch was a LOAD of fun to use and this image made it that much more fun!!!!  I am using my newly released stamp set called Ellie Loves Butterflies !!!!!  Is she not one of THE cutest images ever????    I used the My Mind's Eye DP called "On the Sunny Side".  Some striped Twill in red and some of my LAST Glittered Skittles in crystal ice. A bow off to the side and then a doubled twine bow on top and viola! ;)  CUTE CUTE CUTE!!!! :)  Now head on over to the YNS blog and play along and you can also upload your cards to Split Coast Stampers Forum

Here's the sketch to play along! :)

Inky Inspiration by ME!

Hello Peeps!  It's my turn to WOW and INSPIRE you! ;)  I wanted to bring on some sunshine since we seem to be skipping Summer over here this year.  NO!  2 days above 75* does NOT count... lol
I used Flower Lili for my image.  She was colored with Touch Twin Markers. The DP is from MME.  A Butterfly charm was added for interest along with some itty bitty blings placed onto the white and red butterflies of the DP! :)  Now how is THAT for inspiration.  It just adds a bit of "oomph" to the DP!

Speedy Fox and Friends~Score Lines

Hello MFP Peeps!!!! It's time to play with lines, score lines... whether it's with your score pal, paper cutter with stylus or this fancy new toy I bought a while ago....it's a wooden square with the center cut out... took me awhile to figure out how to use it as I threw away the directions lol but I have NEVER been able to figure out the tutorials on SCS with that blank space idea, so I bought something to help me out! ;)  I used Pucker Up for my image, some Lemon Twine and lemon colored gems!

Head on over and play along...You could win a stamp set... SCORE!!!!! ;) lol

It's the final day of release peeks... I hope you have found a TON of inspiration on my blog and my fellow Mark's Finest-A Heinrich Company blogs... they really are a TALENTED bunch of ladies!!!!!

For the last day of cards for this release I decided to use an image that also comes in the silly shells set.  I thought of my Dad Dave when making this card. He's a fisherman, has a boat and loves to be on the water.   I did take one of the small sentiments in this set and used it to Christan the boat with the name!  hahahahahah, NO!  No champagne as it makes the  ink run! ;)

It's YNS Anything Goes Time!!!!

Hello Crafty Peeps! Today we have a challenge that is WIDE OPEN... Yup!  ANYTHING GOES!!!  Gotta love that idea right? ;)

Today I used a couple of the new release stamp sets and created a scene! ;)  Ladder Lily is feeding her fish in her big ol' fish bowl! :)  I stamped the Jam Jar stamp to create my fish bowl and filled it with several of the images that come from the Spring/Summer Globe Accessories!  I tell ya, it was fun creating a silly little scene!  These stamps are BFF's with one another and play SO nicely! ;)  Now did you see that you can get a die for the stamp also or just the stamp or... just the die... seriously, Karen has thought of it all!!!  and speaking of getting things... IT'S $ALE TIME!!!!!  wooo hoooo... I gotta get me a few more of the cuties I see being used by the DT Team (i.e banana split)... lol

SO, lets get to lookin, lovin' and $HOPPING!!!!!

Later Peeps! :)

I went with very simple and soft on this card.  Kept it pretty masculine-ish! You could TOTALLY use it for a man card.... I used Kraft CS and a bit of striped ribbon just laid underneath the image panel... I don't wrap ribbon around my cards so that it shows when the card is opened, typically as it really drives me nutso... It's like having a tag stick out of your shirt to me... tee hee... ANYWAY.... I colored the image with Memento Inks and my water color pen.  The Lighthouse was colored using a White ink pad.  It's a quick and easy coloring medium to use and carries that soft illusion that goes with the card!!! :)

Inky Impressions Red/White and Blue

**Please Scroll Down for my MFP Release Hop**

Hello Inky Fans!  Today is to use Red White and Blue on our cards.  I chose to make a stair step card using Sassy Lili.    I colored her up and partially cut her out to make her stand out!  OK, so it wasn't PLANNED that way, but I saw a couple bumps on my image after coloring and swept them away and what do you know... my spica pen left crumbs and it smeared on my image.  Well, I sure didn't want to recolor another image so I went to work with the exacto knife! ;)  See, all is not lost just have to improvise a little! lol

I needed some fun on the steps so I added some plaid tape paper and then an apple tree.  The apples are red gems from the store.  LOVE those little things!!  I managed to pick up several colors  in my last order.  They are the perfect size for fun little additions like "apples" ;)

Head on over to Inky Impressions Challenge blog and play along!!! :)

I remember my Mom having a Tomato Pin Cushion and this stamp set made me smile when I saw this one, although there is a strawberry dangly thing and it's all embroidered it's EXACTLY like my mom's but just a little different!!!! ;)  lol  SO, I went with some grungy homey kinda paper and used some FABULOUS pens from Webster's Pages to make it an authentic Pin Cushion, used a zig zag die to mimic the pinking shears I always got in trouble for playing with (you know you did too! ;) ) and some pink seam binding... all these sewing supplies and I can't even sew a button... LOVE MY CRAFTS!!!!! :)

For my Card I used a great sketch (you'll see more at a later date ;) ) and kept it pretty bold and simple, letting this FABULOUS Stamp set speak for itself.  Touch Twin Markers and Xpress Blending paper....a bit of Black Flower Soft, crushed green silk ribbon and some pearls... done! ;)  Nice and Simple just how we like it right???? lol

Speedy Fox and Friends~Vintage

Dust off that distressing stuffs and lets get Vintage... :)  I used some Echo Park Victorian Garden as my papers and then chose the Vintage-y looking sentiment from New Pines stamp set.  I embossed it with Tim Holtz Distress powder in black.  a bit of gold ribbon from Marks (love how they package stamps...) and viola!  Vintage! <3
I added some Gold Viva Pearl Pen also for that finishing "bling" ;)

C4C meets Totally Stampalicious!

Hey Peeps!!!  Glad to see ya pop in.  Today us CRAZIES are joining forces with the Totally Stampalicious Babes!!!  I tell ya, I LOVE this company!  I remember when they first started their company and I am LOVING them still!!!  NOW I get to be on the same team with Joycelyn and stamp with her stamps today!!!  I LOVE this Buggaboo stamp set I was sent!!!  She is SO stinkin' FUN and CUTE!!!!!  Now, not only are we sponsored this week, but we are to use 3's...3 DP, flowers, pearls, buttons.... NOPE!  Can't fit all of that on my card but I did manage the paper and the flowers! ;)  I did attempt the pearls but I rolled my bigger flower too tight! lol

I used MME A Happy Heart DP for this card.  I also used MFT Fence Dienamic, The Wonky Scallop dienamic and the Royal Rose and Mini Royal Rose dienamics!  A bit of old SU! rope and my image colored with Touch Twin Markers.  a bit of glaze and glitter on her boots and lips! ;)  Sassy Cowgirl!

Head on over to Totally Stampalicious and pick up a few of these cuties and then head over to C4C and give that challenge a try too!!!  Remember 3 is the magic number!!!! ;)

It's a Mid Month Hop!!! :)

Hello there and WELCOME to the June Blog Hop for Inky Impressions... Today we are showcasing some of the FABULOUS Charms that are carried by Nicole.  YES!  I KNOW... charms are not all that fun... well, I thought so too until I got a hold of the charms from Inky Impressions.  They are TOP Quality peeps!!!  Solid, shiny and CUTE!!!  My fellow DT Inksters are showing you the different ways to use charms.  Well sometimes you just have to make a charm, NOT a charm.  I had COMPLETE intentions of actually hanging my charm from a BIG OLE BOW that I tied and it turned out PERFECT but alas... it covered up my Lili and her Pumpkin image.  Ummm, NOT acceptable, so I turned the card around and had to improvise.  How you say?  Well, pull up a chair and listen up! ;)  I grabbed my button snippers (yes, that's a technical name) and snipped off the ring.  CAREFULLY on one end and then the other (close your eyes-that baby FLIES)....
I applied the charms to the scallop up parts like a brad with a mini micro dot.  PERFECTION!!!!  The DP I used is MME Lime Twist, SU Ribbon is behind the image peeking...some twine and itty bits of white gel pen for higlights.  I also took the clear glaze pen and outlined the pumpkin to give it a bit of oomph!!! ;) Now head on over to my Inkin' Peep KERRY to see what FABULOUSNESS she created....

YNSC2 ~ Summertime.... **sigh**

Oh how I DO love Summertime...and this week the Your Next Stamp challenge is ALL about Summertime...  and this ADORABLE New Release stamp set COOL BEACH OWL has the right idea... Beach and Ice Cream!  mmmmm!!!!  DREAMY!!!!! ;)

I used this CUTE lil guy for my Summertime image. Do you see how the sentiment has a slight curve to it?  Yep, I took a snip out of the top of the rubber and then a TINY "v" cut out of the bottom so it would bend and STAY on my block to match the curve of the image panel!!!! I chose to use Simple Stories Summer Fresh DP.  The sketch is from YNS DT gal pal Jen over at SFYTT.  I changed the stars on the sketch for the cute PUFFY CLOUD DIE and a bow from that yummy ginham ribbon.  I must say, with a great sketch and AWESOME Stamps cards come together in no time... try an hour for this card... now how is THAT for a neener neener and THANK YOU GOD for helping me out of this tight squeeze I managed to get myself into!  lol

Enough blah blah from me, take a peeksee at my card leave me some love then click on that "challenge" link and come play with us... we also have a Challenge thread up in the YNS Forum which will be posted on the YNS blog.  I can't link it tonight as it isn't up and work blocks me randomly from blogs... so click over and click again! ;)

MFP Challenge Spot of Color

**ETA: DARN BLOGGER POSTINGS** back in town and posting a BIT late! ;)

Hello Friends and Welcome to MFP a HC challenge. We are to make a black and white card with a pop of color.  I took it in another direction with this challenge.  I decided to do a pop of color using the spotlight technique.  I used my Cowgirls Rule stamp set for this challenge.  Some DCWV DP from my bestie Kate and some nesties.  The image was colored with water color pencils to give it a soft look.

Circles Circles Circles with C4C

Good Morning Crazy Peeps!!!!  This week we are to add Circles to our cards... well, I wanted to use these dienamics that had yet to be run through my machine, so I picked the smaller of the two Peace Sign Dienamics and ran it through with the 6 colors of the rainbow... yea I know, Rainbows have 7 but... I left out Indigo! ;)

The sentiment is from MFT called Clearly Sentimental About: Pearls of Wisdom
I added some Itty Bitty crystals from Taylored Expressions using my Quickie Glue Pen!  Come on over and play in our circle of friends... there is ALWAYS room for more!!!! <3

IIC60~Red/Yellow/Orange~KelliJo

Hello There!!!!!  :)  It's time for another challenge over at Inky Impressions.  This week we are challenging you to use the colors Red Orange and Yellow!!!!  Sounds HOT HOT HOT right??? ;)

Well Lili thinks so, so she is headed to the beach  BEACH BOUND LILI is the name of this stamp set!!!!  I colored her with my Touch Twin Markers added some blingage to her bathing suit and then some clear glaze to her flippity flops, inner tube dotties, bag pieces and her satin ribbon on her bathing suit!  ;)
The paper I used is older by Cosmo Cricket called Mini Deck.  A Sunshine Die, button and some Orange twine wrapped under and tied to the corner of the offset image completes this challenge!!!  I think it's pretty darn CUTE, but with these stamps.... what isn't I say!!!!! :)

MFP Butterflies and C4C Challenge

Phew!  I'm on a MAJOR Push to get cards done, I have training coming up next week and leaving town for some tournaments for June (it's ball time) so I combined two challenges.  ;)  Sly right?  tee hee

Crazy 4 Challenges is to use Butterflies, brought to us by Silke!!!!!

SO, MFPaHC "Hello Butterfly" was used on White CS, I heat embossed with clear EP and then chalked over the top of that treating my chalks like Distress ink....Stamped my sentiment and then wrapped blue crushed silk ribbon around the card front attached the button with some blue/white twine and then mounted that onto another white Card Base.
