Crazy4Challenges SNOWMEN!!!!!

Hey Peeps!  I am in luck this week... or being REALLY LAZY.... I choose lucky!!!!  This week's challenges for Drunken Stampers, Crazy 4 Challenges  is to use a Snowman on a creation.  I DO love me some snowmen!!!!  I have YET to find a snowman stamp that doesn't make me smile!!!!!

This week I chose to use Impression Obsession's E6755 Marshmallow Mug.  I paired it with Jillibean Soup DP called Christmas Eve Chowder (last years DP), some Cotton Candy Sparkly Fluff and My Minds Eye Enamel Dots.  a bit of a Spellbinders edge sticking out.  Now I am NOT sure who I got this sketch from, I was cruising the galleries the other night at work over on SCS and this one was AWESOME, so I snapped a pic with my phone and THOUGHT I had captured the original posters name.  It was called "Peace on Earth" so if you see this and you know where this sketch came from PLEASE SHARE!!!! ;)  PS Your card was beautiful!

Here we are at Day 4 of the Marks Finest Papers a Heinich Company release hop!!!  Has this week not been just FANTASTIC???  What an AWESOME release this is!!!!
Today it's all about Just a Note.  I went CAS on this card, well, except the triple matting... lol!  I stamped Just a Note in black and matted it on red and black CS (love that color combo).  I then took the single bloom from Amaryllis Definition and stamped it right over the top of the music sheet.  I colored it in a bright red, and didn't bother with shading as I wanted the music to show through.  I stamped the sentiment and gave it the same matting as the main image and popped that baby up on the card!  DONE!  Nice and simple right??  LOVE that about cards!!!!  A couple of Recollections baubles at the top make it all fancy! ;)

Just a Note Featured November 30

Well, Good Morning!!  It's Day 3 at Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Company.  Today it's all about Nature.  Mountain Selections is today's stamp set.  I decided to break several rules!  OK, I didn't "decide" to as I typically DO break rules while stamping/coloring... ;)

I stamped the largest mountain in the center of my paper.  I then masked it and stamped another on the left and right of it.  I then created another mask of the larger mountain and using both masks I stamped the big tall mountain in between the left and right large mountains, moving the 2nd mask each time.  Now, here is the rule breaking... I colored up the sky using some odd colors and since I wasn't coloring on Express Blending papers they of course wouldn't blend... imagine that... lol... I took my "Blending" pen (I call it an eraser) and gave it a good workout... I rubbed and rubbed and scribbled and scribbled and made tons of circles on my sky trying to get a washed out look.  It make it look so soft and fluffy like a sky at dusk... shoot, maybe Northern Lights???  hahahahah

I colored the mountains and water, then took T8 and colored in my little boaters to make silhouettes, the lake bank was stamped 3 times just not inking up the rounded up ends so that it went kinda straight across .  White Gel Pen was added for a bit of zing.  Now a photo corners were added to the piece and it was mounted onto White CS.  Tim Holtz Rock Candy was added to the mountains for a icy pop!  Imagining this to be a picture someone took on the side of the road! :)

Loves Rubber Stamps~Kraft CS

Good Morning LRS Peeps!  Today's challenge at LRS is to use Kraft CS.

Today I used another of the CUTE CC Stamps.  This one is Meoples Snow Joy~(not currently in the store, but just ask Laura!;)  I am totally loving CC Stamps!!  SO much fun and Whimsy!  My image was stamped on Kraft CS and then colored with my aqua painter using PTI White ink and TH Distress in Winter Berries and Lipstick.  Some white netting ribbon and then some pink satin scalloped edge ribbon to mimic the DP from my stash.

Head on over to LRS Blog and check out the rest of the gals and see how they "got Krafty".

Good Morning!  It's Day 1 here with Mark's Finest Papers a Heinrich Company... This week you will be AMAZED at the beautiful stamps available to you and the cards that have been created to share with you!  I was THRILLED when this stamp popped out of the envelope!!!  Just think of all the awesomeness you can create with this set!!!!  Today I created a CAS "Good Luck" card, maybe for someone heading to the Big City for a new job or adventure... **sigh** fun right?  OK, so I stamped the phrase numerous times (6 I think) off setting it each time so it wasn't so mechanical looking.  I then took the building stamps and stamped them across the bottom over the top of the words.  I like how you can still see the words through the building windows.  I added a few mini gems to the "sky" to mimic the Big City Lights.  A little tag with "Good Luck" was hand cut and popped up, some trendy twine in Midnight was added for softness.

MFP Mini Set Oh Deer!

Hello there!!!! It's time for an early post from Marks Finest Papers a Heinrich Company.   Today I am sharing with you a card I made using the mini set called "Oh Deer!"

This is a super great set for those masculine cards that we seem to struggle with, or at least I know that I do...  I stamped the Deer and created a mask for him.  I then pulled out my Scenic Selections and my Tree Greetings stamp sets and created this little scene in the snow!  :)

Paper from The Paper Loft that I picked up while working at the CK Expo in Bellevue that I KNEW would be perfect for this set!!! :)  YAY ME, I planned ahead!!!!  lol

Now head on over to the MFP Blog and check out who else created a card for today's special post!!!  Thanks for stopping by! :)

Hello there LRS Fans!

Today is Sunday and that means it's time for an Inspirational Sunday Post from Loves Rubber Stamps.... It's full speed ahead on the Christmas Cards, rush rush rush.... I am DETERMINED to mail out cards this year... yes, 2 years running I have NOT mailed cards... you know the reason I began stamping???  Yea ummm, **cough cough** Changing that habit this year and getting back into the swing of things.

Well I am originally from Pendleton, Oregon.  Home of the Pendleton Round Up, so when I saw this Flourishes set I HAD to have it.  Country is in my blood.  Nope, can't ride a horse to save my soul but I DO love Country and Rodeo!  It's just such a good feeling, the real honesty- you know where a handshake means more than a legal contract; where a man's word is golden; where the only thing you have that someone can't take away from you is your name, so you honor that name by keeping it clean and honorable.... **sigh**

SO, enough let's talk cards...  I created my card using Simple Stories DP using the Handmade Holiday line, this is THE last of my brown netting :(  squeaked it over the edge of my card.  Some Sheer Brown ribbon and some gems from Bo Bunny Apple Cider line (last of those too).  The stamp as I said, came from Flourishes it's called Cowboy Christmas. (the site shows "sold" but all you need to do is let Laura know you want to purchase it and she will hook ya up!  ;)  She's AWESOME that way....

That's it for me, now head on over to the LovesRubberStamps blog and check out all of the other Inspiration you are sure to find there from my peeps!!!!

Have an awesome week!

Crazy 4 Challenges 164 Put a Bow on It!

Hey Crazy Peeps!!!  It's time for the last challenge of November... Can you believe that???  We stuffed ourselves yesterday, then I went to work and stuffed myself again... NOW it's almost time to Stuff a Stocking for all those good little boys and girls... I had better get out a BIG stocking cuz I have been GOOOOOD!!!!!!  tee hee

Today's card features a .... wait for it.... DIGI!!!!  YES!!!  I was gifted this image from Jak Heath and her line of Digital Stamps from InkLined StampsMexico Phil and Horhay.  Well, I TOTALLY wanted to use my Feliz Navidad Stamp with this guy but, of course, I couldn't find where I put it... it SHOULD be in my Christmas Sentiment CD case(s)!  SO, Since I'm SO computer "smart" tonight I created the sentiment on Word pad, attempted to print on CS and jammed my printer, so I just used the piece of plain printing paper that I ran the test print through to size it right.  Yep, I was on a roll and a jammed printer was NOT going to slow THIS girl down.... ;)

Simple Stories DP (Harvest Lane) is my DP, some SU Ribbon that is textured (love) and then a hand made banner completes my card.... Phil and Horhay were colored with my Touch Twin Markers on Express CS!  Now head on over to the Crazy Blog and check out what my other Crazy Peeps did and just how they "Tied it up With a Bow!"

Hello Peeps!!!  It's time for another Inspirational Sunday Post from Loves Rubber Stamps!!!!

Today I have a cute little card using Impression Obsession stamps.  (G7682 Snowman with Bird & B8764 Be Delighted)

I love using purple in my winter cards!!!  This DP from Echo Park is a favorite of mine it's called Winter Wishes.  SO many fun designs in blues and purples... LOVE!!!!!

My image was colored with Touch Twin Markers and matted on Bazzill CS.  Some fun Purple Crushed Satin and Purple pom pom trim added for that "WOW" factor!!!!

Drunken Stampers 106~Punches and Die Cuts

Well hello my Drunken Stampin' Peeps!!!  Call me Amy Winehouse here... they tried to make me go to Rehab, I say No, No, No!

This week we are using punches and Die Cuts.  I chose to use this new Flourishes combo, Snow Wonderful, that I picked up at LovesRubberStamps.  I LOVE Flourishes but Holy Moly, I do NOT have Flourishes talent.  This image and die just had to be mine though... I think I managed quite nicely with it, it is nice and simple and not "Flourishes-y" much... YAY!

Crocheted Ribbon, Gold Sheer ribbon and some brown twine; Gold Swarovski Gems; Gold 24K pen; pop dots.  Yep!  that's it and all done!!!  Coloring is using Touch Twin Markers!!!

Speedy Fox and Friends 134~ Pop it Up!

Hello Speedy Fox and Friends Challenge Peeps!!!  It's time for another challenge at Speedy Fox and Friends.  This week we are to "Pop It Up!"  Many ways to do this... the whole image, a piece of the image, a card that pops up... shoot, ENDLESS possibilities... so let's get busy with the way I went...

I used Christmas Cardinal for my image.  I stamped it twice on Express Blending CS and colored just the wing on the 2nd image.  I cut it out, took my bone folder and curled it slightly underneath to help it look full. I then placed pop dots at the very top where it connects.  I matted with black to make it pop.  Placed that onto some DP and tied a big ol' Gold Satin Bow at the top.  I'm pretty impressed with my bow.... TONS of fussing with that baby.... lol

Now head on over and see what the other Speedy Foxers did and link up a card!!!  Come play along and Pop It Up!

Crazy 4 Challenges!!!! Tags!!!!

Well Hello There Peeps!!!!  It's time for a new challenge over at Crazy4Challenges!!!!  This week, it's Tags!!!  Yes, the days are FLYING by and we will need some tags for those Gifties!!!!  SO, I used some tags from a package I bought awhile ago (and just now found again) from Jillybean Soup!  I stamped the mini Winter Images from Your Next Stamp on them, colored with Touch Twin Markers and Tim Holtz White Distress Marker (wish I had the whole collection).... I added some beautiful Melissa Frances ruffled lace ribbon and then added some Stickles to the seam of the ribbon.  A VERY difficult project to photograph... but here they are!!!!

Now what say you and I head on over to the Crazy4Challenges blog and check out the rest of the CRAAAAZY Ladies!!!!!  :)

YNS24~Anything Goes

It's time for another challenge with Your Next Stamp Peeps!!!!!  SO, how about an Anything Goes kinda challenge.... I LOVE these kinds of challenges!  Let you mind go wild.... ;)

My mind went wild when I saw last release (still waiting on this newest release to arrive) and I had to use the new set called Joyful Wishes.  I LOVE the simplicity of this wreath!  I stamped it in A Muse green and then used some Viva Pearl Pens for my berries.  The DP is Basic Grey Aspen Frost, and I used it to also paper piece the bow.  I stamped the bow twice and cut it out into 2 pieces, popping the top bow piece for depth.  Some two tone ribbon that compliments the paper was used to "hang" my wreath with.  Now, how about those Icicles?  Yep!  that is the Fun Flower Spring Grass die in action just flip turned upside down... (insert theme song from Fresh Prince here).... lol

and VIOLA!  There ya have it... a Icicles!!!!  Now head on over to the Your Next Stamp Challenges and hook up a card!  Ya just never know when you could be the lucky winner of some YNS Goodies or even get to be playing along with the YNS DT!!!!  Speaking of... did you see that announcement???  CONGRATS LADIES!!!!  I am SO excited to see what you all create with these Awesome Stamps!!!!!

Your Next Stamp Thankful

Hello Peeps~

It's time for another challenge over at the Your Next Stamp Challenge blog.  This week we are being Thankful.  I used Ellie Loves to Roller skate for my image and gave it a Fall feel using the small leaf stamps from the newly released set called Full of Color.

The paper is a two sided job from Bo Bunny.  I added some Wired Burlap ribbon that I cut the edges off so I could fray it, took a piece of the frayed burlap and put it in my button holes.  The Fence die also from YNS was added and I colored a larger leaf and cut it out and placed it on top of the fence.  That's it for me.  Head on over to the YNS Blog and see what everyone else has created.

Loves Rubber Stamps Challenge #25 Anything Goes

Hello Peeps!  It's time for another challenge over at LovesRubberStamps.  First let me take a minute to apologize to Laura, my crew mates and all of the followers of LRS.  I have had a moment of (insert many situations here) and have struggled to get past it all, from serious amounts of OT, to a wedding, to a complete ignorance of what day it was!!!!!  I sincerely apologize to all!  NOW... if you are still here let's hope that means you forgive me....

I chose to use this CRAZY cute image from CC Designs, Ms. Claus.

She was colored up and the paper is MME.  a bit of stickles to her fluff spots and some striped ribbon and a bit of bling.

Ribbon Carousel Celebrates Fall

Hello there RC fans!!!!  It's time for another challenge on the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog... This month it's about celebrating Fall/Thanksgiving.

In my house we don't celebrate Thanksgiving really, as I typically work every Thanksgiving.  The couple of years I didn't we actually at Lasagne, as I HATE Turkey... blech!!!! SO, I thought I'd keep it up and not celebrate Thanksgiving again with my card but rather enjoy the beauty of Fall.

I used a Brand New release from Your Next Stamp called Autumn Full of Color.  I stamped various leaves and colored or used colored inks on a panel to go across my card.  I used Sugar Hill DP from Farm House, some brown netting ribbon, brown jute (all ribbons/DP available at the Ribbon Carousel) and a Tim Holtz button.  I used a hint from Susie Q regarding the bit of ribbon behind my button.  Add a bit of cool to the card eh?  The mini pearls were added to the hand made sentiment flag, and those were from Bo Bunny Apple Cider (also at the RC).  There is a HUGE sale now until the end of the year.... RUN!!!!!!

OK, here's my card... make sure you come and play along... there are SERIOUS Prizes to be had.... YIKES!!!!!

a Bit of Pearl Pens for the berries and done!  Simple Dimple and OH SO CUTE!!!!!

Come on over and play along with us and get all rickety rackety! :)
