Paper Loft Sketch Challenge #2

Hey Peeps!  Here I am Last Minute Lucy.... lol  I wanted to play along again this week at The Paper Loft.  Sketch Challenge #2 is a doozie!!! :)

I used some of my paper from The "Scattered Pine" collection: Scrub Oak Valley and "Gentler Times" collection: Party Line.
 A Bit of Burlap frayed ribbon and some new Embossing Folders from Stampin' Up called Chevron and Clouds and the GORGEOUS stamp called Swallow Tail.  I colored it sporadically,wanting to keep with the rustic look of the papers,  with Tim Holtz Rusty Hinge Distress Ink and my waterpen.  The Swallow Tail was fussy cut and then the wings were "distressed" with my bone folder giving them flight!

Crazy4Challenges~Raising the Bar

Hey Peeps!  It's Crazy4Challenges time!!!  This time we are sending a shout out to Barbara (Bar).  she's recouping so we are CASE'ing a Bar Card... that phrase "Bar Card" brings a hush to the room of stampers.... lol  OK, so first off I MUST clarify.... I have been calling myself a Stalker, well, today I read on Facebook that it isn't Stalking, it's "Intense Studying of another person" (now called ISOAP)... SO, being a past stalker, now ISOAP of Barbara's this challenge was FUN!!!!  Although HARD to CASE her unique beautiful cards, I picked a fairly easy one since I have some of the same things in my cave... yes, ISOAP makes you buy things!!!!

I picked this card of Barbara's!!!!

I created it using the same CB large Dot Embossing Folder and had a Prima Say It With Crystals bling on hand.  I changed up the flower for a snowflake... I know it's the end of January and it should be all lovey dovey, but, I prefer Cold and Bitter!  LMAO  No, I actually just LOVE these snowflake dies that I have from Lil Inker Designs.

YNS New Release continued...

Hey Peeps!  Wanted to share with you another card I created for the new release.  This one uses the Fun Foodies set.  I stamped the lil donut randomly on my White card, colored with my Touch Twin Markers and then added sprinkles using my Perfect Pearls.  Sentiment was stamped on one of the new dies released, a bit of Seam Binding cut into 3 pieces and gathered with twine and attached to a button.

Today I have a CUTE lil snowman, Cowboy Snowman,  that High Hopes sent me to play with.  I paired it with some Western Glitter Paper from my friend Kate.  The cool colors of this pad worked into Winter Wonderfully!!! :)  LOVE THAT... I also used some Brown Hemp cord from The Ribbon Carousel for that rustic feel.

Tasty Tuesday with Your Next Stamp

Hey Peeps!  It's time over at Your Next Stamp for another Tasty Tuesday post.... We used this awesome pinterest picture for the Inspiration Challenge.

I used the SUPER cute Baby Set from Your Next Stamp called Welcome Baby and the Welcome Baby Sentiment Stamp Set.

I used some older Basic Grey DP and images from the set to create the star DP.  Paper Pieced the Stroller and added some ribbon.  The buggy hood was stamped and pieced on top of the buggy (it really looks bright in the picture grr)....

BUT, Take a peek and come on over and play along.  Your Next Stamp has some FABULOUS stamps to use and the DT is AMAZING!!!!

Kraftin Kimmie's Guest DT Entry

Hello Peeps!  Kraftin Kimmie is having a challenge for a Guest DT Gig!  Thought I would throw my hat, er, CARD into the pile!  I am using Raychel (apparently she's retired).  I LOVE the sassyness of the Moonlight Whisper girls!!!!  Kimmie has TONS of them!!!! 

I used Echo Park Love Story for my DP.  The challenge calls for a metal element.  SO, I used my CANDY pieces and made them like thumbtacks.  She IS a pin up girl ya know!!!! ;)

MFT Film Strip dienamic was laid over a piece of Red Scalloped edge ribbon from the Ribbon Carousel.  Raychel was colored with Touch Twin Markers and paper pieced.

CC409~Color Challenge

Hey Peeps!!!  I have a card to share with you... it's tough to not be able to share my goodies I have made for the Dirty Dozen.  I have SCADS of YUMMM in the gallery over there... so GO JOIN!!!!! ;)

Today though I was able to get some time in the cave and created this card using the Color Challenge!!!!

I used the SU Artisan Embellishment kit.  4 layers of the yummy lace that comes with it, I changed up the kraft tickets to match using Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Picked Berries.  The Heart doily was changed using my Glimmer Mist Spray.  the buttons randomly placed based on the initial dropping of the heart button after applying hot glue!  LOL  BUT... It was a GOOD thing as I REALLY like the placement! :)

OK That's it for me... I have 2 more days off and hope to get some cards made and posted for posting through out the week.  DT stuff is all done... just gotta get FUN cards done now!!!

Fun Friday with YNS~Hugs n Kisses!

Well hello Peeps!  I made it, I survived my Death Bed!  lol I thought for sure I was dieing... I have NEVER been that sick... I'm SO glad I decided to go see the Doctor instead of "toughing it out" like I normally do, but after 5-6 weeks of being sick, I thought enough was enough... well it seems that the last bout of bugs to get me was the flu.  Now I don't know about you, but I thought the flu required your stomache to make you run for the bathroom???  NOPE!  that's a Gastroblahblahblah..... ???  SO, I am passing on this bit of information in hopes of helping some of you (God forbid you get this crap).... If you get a fever, joint pain, itchy eyes, uncontrollable cough, exhaustion...GET TO THE DOCTOR... you have a 48 hour window for them to treat this bug, I tested positive for the strain that is actually being vaccinated for this year, Nope!  I am NOT advocating for the flu shot... NOPE NUH UH!!!!! ;)  BUT, they stuck a stick up my nose and apparently it showed positive fast.... so I am now taking Tamiflu.  I am on day 3 of the meds and it seems to be doing the job, in fact my son got up and found me in my craft room and said, MOM!  this is the first time you've been in there all weekend.... YES!  I KNOW!!! :(  All this time off and no energy to do anything but sleep....

I used the newly released Happy Smiley Critter Crew from Your Next Stamp.
I paired this UBER Cute Ladybug with my newest papers from American Crafts called XO.  Now I'm not sure if I like these papers or not... they have a perforated edge, so yes, they tear out easily however your edge has that bumpy blah on it that needs to be sanded down... extra step... hmmm, but they ARE CUTE! 

I used the sketch from Mojo Monday for my inspiration (Lord knows my brain isn't quite back to creative yet)... I always love a great sketch....

Ribbon Carousel Challenge~Winter

Hey RC Peeps!  It's time for a new challenge over at the Ribbon Carousel Challenge Blog... remember you have a whole month to enter your card, treat box, altered art whatever you choose to be in the Random Drawing for a Ribbon Carousel.... WOWZERS right???  LOVE those Carousels!!!!!

Today my card is a White on White card with some shimmer added courtesy of Tattered Angels Abominable Snowman.  I heard rumor that Corinna will be adding some Shimmer Mists to the store here soon since it was back ordered and finally coming in she is STILL Bringing new goodies in to help with your shopping needs! ;)  OK, so anyway, I ran a piece of Bazzill Marshmallow through my Big Shot Pro with a CB Folder, wrapped some White 5/8" Pleated Satin Ribbon I added some wooden Kaisercraft snowflakes and added some White Viva Pearl Decor Pens to the outer flake dots! :)  The dimension was added by using Helmar Pop Dots adhesive.  It's gooey glue and dries clear but depending on how hard ya smoosh it depends on the dimension it gives... it dries without collapsing... I REALLY was happy I remembered I had that stuff trying to get that ITTY BITTY snowflakes some pop!

Challenge Chicks Challenges ~Snowmen

Hey Peeps!!!!  Guess What??  I was invited to play along with a GREAT Group of gals from the SCS Royalty area.  :)  EEEK!  lol  We are doing a Monthly just for fun kinda challenge.... Yup!  Once a Month we will post a picture based on that challenge for the month.... This month it's Snowmen.

I used my The Cat's Pajamas stamp called Freezin' Season.  hee hee.... that big eared guy kills me!  I have never seen this guy NOT being CUTE as can be!!!!!  Here he is building a lil snowbunny gal pal! ;)  I colored my image up with Copic T0, T2 and a touch of T4.  The scarf used Touch Twin markers.  I used some Art Glass Crushed clear glass glitter for the snow and I outlined the gal pal with TH Rock Candy Stickles.  See, bling comes in SO many beautiful varieties... how can you NOT use it???
Now, see that snowflake edge peeking out from the side of my image panel?  YEP!  BRAND NEW Cut Up from TCP, it's called Holiday Toppers.  It was JUST released on Alma's (Swankster Mistress) 10 year anniversary... that is a LONG time in the Stamping World, and she is still going strong!!! Ribbon is from The Ribbon Carousel as are the MME Gems in the snowflake centers and my DP from MME.  The button is from my stash of misc buttons.  A Bit of twine from The Twinery completes the cuteness found here!!!

Crazy4Challenges~Ribbons and Bows

Hey Peeps!  Crazy4Challenges are back... Betty is our Ring Leader this month and we are starting out with Ribbons and Bows, Ribbons and Bows let's start the year off with Ribbons and Bows! :)

SO, I am also keeping with my promise to myself to USE the items I HAD to have... so I created a Ribbon and Bow Card using Washi Tape, yes I have TONS of this stuff!!!  HA!  SO... The Washi is my ribbon for this card and the bows I created with the Lil Inker Designs Large and Mini Bow Die...Lil Inker is SO creative coming out with their dies leading the way in CUTE!!!!

My Mind's Eye The Sweetest Thing Washi and DP were used!  The sentiment also comes from Lil Inker Designs from the snow set!

A Card Club Card~~~~~

Hey There Peeps!!!!  I am loading a card that was made for a little group of gals I am stamping with *virtually*.  We mail kits and each person makes a card and loads it into their galleries and blogs.  Do you see that SUPER CUTE PIN???  Yep, Crafty Math Chick MADE those!!!  She made some AWESOME Snowmen and Christmas Trees too, but I don't wanna USE those!!!!! ;)  lol  They will sit and be ADMIRED for long to come... trying to talk her into making Bunnies and Turkeys next! ;)
